Welcome to the Lake Waramaug Country Club, a private club and friendly gathering place maintained for the enjoyment of the members, their families, and their guests. 

  • Cell Phones, Smoking and Pets
    • Cell phones and devices should be stored and used in a discrete, non-disruptive manner. Devices should be set to silent/vibrate mode while on Club grounds. Talking on cell phones is permitted only in the Club parking areas. 

      Smoking and vaping is prohibited on Club grounds. 

      Pets are not permitted in the clubhouse or beyond the beach entrance. 
  • Clubhouse & Porch
    • Dress Code

      Members and their guests must adhere to do the house dress code, and wear clothing that is appropriate and in good condition. The club reserves the right to deny access to anyone not meeting the dress code requirements. 

       Men:

      • Slacks or Bermuda length shorts that are no higher than 5 inches above the knee are acceptable. 
      • Shirts with collars or turtlenecks are required and must be tucked in at all time. 
      • Neat and clean tennis attire that conforms with the tennis dress code is permitted before 5pm.
      • Smart blue jeans that are neither ripped nor distressed are allowed after Labor Day on Sundays. 
      • Tank tops, sleeveless shirts, T-shirts, jogging, cut-off and cargo-style shorts, swim attire, cargo pants and blue jeans (except Sundays after Labor Day) are prohibited. 
      • Hats and caps are prohibited in the clubhouse or on the porch. 

       Women:

      • Slacks or Bermuda length shorts and skirts that are no higher than 5 inches above the knee are acceptable. 
      • Sleeveless shirts, shirts designed to be untucked, and white jeans are allowed. 
      • Neat and clean tennis attire that conforms with the tennis dress code is permitted before 5pm. 
      • Smart blue jeans that are neither ripped nor distressed are allowed after Labor Day on Sundays.
      • Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, bare backs, shorts showing the midriff when standing normally, shorts that are shorter than 5 inches above the knee, swim attire and coverups are prohibited. 
      • Hats and caps are prohibited in the clubhouse or porch. 
  • Golf
    • Dress Code

      Members and their golf guests must adhere to the golf dress code, and wear clothing that is appropriate and in good condition. Golf shoes with soft spikes or low cut smooth soled sneakers must be worn on the course at all times. All caps must be worn frontwards. The golf professional has final say on attire appropriate for the golf course and the club reserves the right to deny course access to anyone not meeting the golf dress code requirements. 

       Men:

      • Slacks or Bermuda length shorts that are no higher than 5 inches above the knee are acceptable. 
      • Shirts with collars or turtlenecks are required and must be tucked in at all times. 
      • Untucked shirts, tank tops, sleeveless shirts, T-shirts, jogging, cut-off and cargo-style shorts, cargo pants, blue jeans, swim attire and tennis attire are prohibited. 

       Women:

      • Slacks or Bermuda length shorts that are no higher than 5 inches above the knee are acceptable. 
      • Sleeveless shirts with a single shoulder width of 4 inches and shirts designed to be untucked are allowed
      • Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, bare backs, shorts showing the midriff when standing normally, shorts that are shorter than 5 inches above the knee, blue denim, tennis attire, swim attire and coverups are prohibited.
  • Tennis
    • Dress Code

      Members and their guests must adhere to the tennis dress code that requires neat and proper tennis attire suitable for the sport. Playing shirtless, wearing blue jeans, or bathing suits is not permitted. 

      Flat-soled shoes approved for clay courts must be worn. Running, trail, basketball, golf, and cross training shoes are not permitted. 

      The tennis professionals have final say on appropriate attire and footwear and the club reserves the right to deny court access when attire or footwear is inappropriate.
